Amar Kanwar’s installation ‘The Sovereign Forest. 2012’ was a really engaging emotional piece. About the problems of land usage and the effects both social, political and ecological of global corporate capitalist (specific mining and heavy metal) industries. The piece included film, installation of topological botanical specimens of rice and the most beautiful and tactile books onto which videos were projected. the main film was a series of locked off shots (and some mobile phone footage) was very beautiful and balanced.
